Meridian is built for people navigating one of the hardest chapters of their lives. We believe your privacy isn't just a feature — it's a right. This policy explains exactly what we collect, why, and what we'll never do.

What we collect

• Account info: Your name and email address, used solely for authentication and to personalize your experience.
• Conversations: Messages you exchange with Meridian's assistant are stored securely so you can access your history across sessions.
• Documents: Files you upload to your Vault (decrees, agreements, etc.) are stored in encrypted cloud storage tied to your account.
• Calendar events: Dates, times, and notes you add to your co-parenting calendar.

What we never do

• We never sell, share, or monetize your personal data. Period.
• We never use your conversations or documents to train AI models. Your words stay yours.
• We never show ads or share data with advertisers.
• We never allow your co-parent, attorneys, or anyone else to access your account or data.

How we protect your data

• All data is transmitted over HTTPS and encrypted at rest.
• Authentication is handled with industry-standard security practices including bcrypt password hashing and secure token management.
• Document storage uses isolated, access-controlled cloud buckets — only you can retrieve your files.

AI conversations

When you chat with Meridian, your messages are sent to Anthropic's Claude API to generate responses. Anthropic does not use API inputs or outputs to train their models. Your conversations are processed in real time and are not retained by Anthropic beyond what's needed to deliver the response.

Google and Apple sign-in

If you sign in with Google or Apple, we receive only your name and email address. We do not access your contacts, calendar, drive, or any other services.

Deleting your data

You can delete individual conversations, documents, and calendar events at any time. To delete your entire account and all associated data, contact us at support@mymeridianapp.com and we'll remove everything within 48 hours.

Changes to this policy

If we make meaningful changes, we'll notify you in the app. We'll never quietly weaken your privacy protections.
